Europa
The Council and the European Parliament have paved way towards the adoption of the draft decision establishing the first radio spectrum policy programme 2012-2015.
By 2015 are requested another 1.200 MHz for the short-distance mobile Internet communications.
Our problem
Additional to the first digital dividend (790 to 862 MHz) now also are requested frequencies in the band of 700 MHz. In this band many professional microphone users have been worked for many years or currently have to move to this band.

------------

France
ARCEP has launched a public consultation to obtain feedback from stakeholders on planned changes to the regulatory framework governing the use of audio equipment for services ancillary to programme-making and broadcasting employing the 470 - 789 MHz and 823 - 832 MHz frequency bands.

Digital Dividend:
Planning for New Uses of the 700 MHz band
(October 2011)
Impact on Radio Microphones
Users of radio microphones and short range devices authorised under General User Licences should be aware that they may need to readjust the frequency of their equipment if the new transmissions in their area are likely to degrade their current performance. It is anticipated that most users will, however, not be affected, as much of the spectrum being used for the television transmissions has not been licenced for radio microphone use.

What future for my wireless microphone?
Depending on the frequency band used and the maximum power, it will be possible to continue to use some wireless microphones without any problems after 1st January 2013, the date the new regulatory framework for frequencies in the 790 - 862 MHz band enters into force.
